Called on a old Schwinn on CL that was sold so I ask if he has anything else. You guessed it, a Mini Twinn. Can't wait to put my 10 year old and 6 year old on this for our beach ride! I also got the original S2 with a red band to go along with the deal. The 2 speed blue band is a great addition.

Very nice pickup, and in beautiful condition! I have a coppertone one, they are not easy to find complete. If you find one, you don't want to have to piece one together. that's for sure. Congrats!:thumbsup:

Wow, I mean wow that is a intense collection. Is the Mini Twinn well liked by Stingray collectors or is it considered a lame duck of sorts? I have always lusted for one and mean no disrespect by that. Is it considered a "holly grail" stingray? Thanks for any input [emoji4]

I don't know if you would call it a holy grail, but yes, it's very well liked by Stingray collectors. It's in NO way a lame duck, they were only made one year, 1968 only. You have a very nice, and appears to me original paint bike, you did well bro.

Great, thanks for the info. It is original paint and decals.

It's a tandem, not every Stingray collectors cup of tea. But I don't know of too many Stingray collectors who would turn their nose up at one, especially as complete and nice as that. Congrats!

What would be considered the "Holy Grail" of the Stingray line? In your opinion [emoji4]

If you had to piece one together, it would cost you a small fortune, you get one, you best get one complete. Or open up your wallet, and start searching. And good luck. Ha! Ha!

Early 63 Stingray, 1st year. 71 Grey Ghost,1 year only krate. 70 Cotten Picker, 73 Sunset Orange disc brake krate. I could go on and on, there are a few others, Original paint for sure is a huge thing.

Surely the person who sold that bike to you in that condition was a collector right?
Indeed he was. He actually has a matching 26 inch to go along with this one for sale as well. I am not sure about the $500 price he was asking? It's in the background of this picture. It's so tempting to have a match......

Any thoughts on the value of the 26"? My knee jerk reaction was $300. I think it had a drum brake on the front, but not positive. Definitely has one on the back.

I wpuld say your in the right ballpark with that price, the only problem with tandems is they take up so much darn room. Very nice pictures!
I guess you could always shoot him an offer, all he could do is say no, or counter offer.
