A few weeks ago I ran into an add on craigslist where a guy was selling bikes from his backyard. I called him and set up a meeting to go look at the bikes he had. Upon arrival as I stepped into the back yard I spotted this bike and immediately decided to take it along with me. I brought it home and did some research and found out it was a 1972 raleigh sports 3-speed. I immediately had a vision of how I wanted it to look. Check it out and let me know what you think I am very pleased with the turn out.

Took this as soon as I brought it home.

Very cool Brooks saddle I purchased for 10 bucks.

I kept everything original except the wheels.

Man that seat was so dry rotted that when I was taking it out of the bike the leather broke off into pieces. So I just took the leather off and kept the frame of the seat. I would be interested to see if I can find some leather like that and try and put a new piece together with ribets....

Ribets? how can you put a seat back together with frog language?

I can fix... leave it to me.

That paint job on the Raleigh needs a few coats of wax to bring out the black like new.
