This is what I do for a living.

I see you guys only got a little rain on the 7th, and it's looking great for the next week there in Phoenix.

So what happened with the snow? Computer models. They calculate more than we could in a month in 3 seconds. They use all the data from all the stations west of you, where the weather is coming from, then calculate all the past weather history into a trend. So meteorologists all use them nowadays, unless they want to be a day late on their forecast. If the model looks like it's making any sense, there's no way to go against it, because you can't prove it. So that's how you get a snow forecast so early. If I could go back and calculate all the data used for that forecast, I could find the questionable data that indicated snow. It would take a week to do that though.

Looks like good riding weather for at least a week.
