Technically this is a flood gate, but I'm still counting it. There's so many bridges in and around Augusta GA if I stopped to take pictures at them all, I'd have never gotten a ride in

Litespeed Ulitmate on a bridge over the Iowa River near Janesville Iowa while on RAGBRAI

I'd love to do that ride one year. Ever since watching one of Ryan Van Duzers YouTube series about it, I've wanted to. Looks like a blast

Another day, another bridge.

Waubeek Iowa over the Wapsipinicon river on a 110 mile day. My bike computer reported a temperature of 124F but I left it parked in the sun in front of large window for 2 hours for a lunch break. Bike computer thermometers are very unreliable in the sun.

Unless they do a night ride version or during a season that's not obnoxiously hot, it's not for me.

I think this year is quite abnormal. Average temps are usually in the 80's and 90's for July. Plus on this ride it seems that roadside swimming and slip and slides are aplenty

This one has layers.

Bike under ghost of bridge, in front of bridge, next to bridge history.
Or,

Bike under ghost of bridge, in front of bridge, with even older ghost bridge in the distance. (In the distance, you might be able to see the pilings of the first bridge that fell into the river a hundred and ten years ago)

See that insane swirling current? That's where the one that collapsed was.

When they built the big one, the Seaway was supposed to go under it. You can see by the structure they left how much bigger the old one was. Not one single boat ever went under it. Before they tore it down, it was open to the public to walk the length of it. I should dig out the old SLR and see if I can find the pics I took

My town. This is a drainage creek. Swampy as heck, probably toxic too. Heard a gang of guys swimming, listened as I took the pictures. I think it was a wedding or bachelor party, kept hearing them talking about best man duties etc. Pretty classy.
