Had a chance to paint the rims up. Was thinking of just black, or just gray, and came up with this.
First, I painted them just black.

Then I thought of a way to paint them with gray also. I taped off the inside flat area exposing the angled side of the rim, and sprayed it gray.

And this is how they turned out.

I also had a chance to come up with something for the handlebars. Started with these old ape hangers.

Then I got 2 sections off this old exercise bike.

Trimmed off the bolt holes to slide them on the smaller apehangers.

And I have an idea for these steerhorns that came off a cutting board.

The front rim is a 24" Schwinn.

Got some rust sanding to do. Great.

good to see another 24/26! what are you doing for a fork?

Everytime I see this thread that pops into my head. The bike is appropriate to the theme. Looking cool! 8)
