when i replaced the tubes & tires last year after it was sitting in the garage for way too long.

the blue tires was a silly whim... back when i was young (bmx days) our local LBS had some Tioga "pool" tires that were bright colors like this. that was the 1st i'd ever seen brightly colored tires. always wanted a set but never got 'em. these aren't the tioga tires, but you get the gist.... (trying to relive youth, etc... lol)

though i put 1.75 street tires on it almost immediately after i bought it (1990-something...) but those were black/skinwall

they were a thing in the 7o's but I wanted something that screamed 80's BMX. so made my own frame.
