There's still much to do

Bonefish has been entered in the March Mini Build Off. Will attempt to keep this thread going in parallel.

I've decided to paint the fork. I'm leaning towards black appliance enamel, never used it before. Should I use primer first? I'm going to hit it with some sandpaper, it's been beat up quite a bit.

I hope that is black enamel. Doesn't say anywhere on the can, but the lid is black. Had a minute of indecision in the paint aisle, I wanted the nearly unavailable silver appliance epoxy, would glossy aluminum be a suitable sub?

Out there in the frosty working on the fork. 120 then 220 and a fine sanding block to get rid of the gouges.

It isn't bad, but if I was working warmer, I'd do a better job. Still, I'm ready to spray. Should be interesting dealing with the cold. I intend to warm my can and dry/cure indoors

See me next week. Maybe a sewing project will be on deck behind the paint job. Or arts and crafts!

I had the same problem with figuring out the color of the Rustoleum appliance epoxy cans before. If you look at the barcode label the color is in small writing right below it.

A couple of favorites, that's for sure, SwissGuy. You gotta get back to building stuff with wheels soon!
But Matti is all class on this build, so let me spin it back at you!

Classy it is!
And for the wheely stuff I'm already collecting parts... ;)

I swears this bike is cursed. Stems are its bane. The temporary Mongoose Stem doesn't fit the fork.

I probably tried it a couple of times and forgot.
So I'm going with this one @ingola took off a Norco cruiser.

Busted apart, shined up, better bolts harvested

If it wasn't raining, if I had more time, if it wasn't all temporary, I'd probably paint that alloy top cap
