Thanks Hamppea, thats a really good idea, this seat has more padding on the sides, I’m afraid I’d tear the vinyl? It gave me another idea though. Your builds are looking great! That’s hilarious about the smoke bomb, funny story.

Haven’t done anything on Chopper X for awhile, been waiting on a few bits. Thanks Hamppea for the rivets on seat suggestion, especially the faux rivets. I knew I wanted to do something to seat but wasn’t sure what. I had ordered some conchos thinking I might use on the leather bag, but scrapped that idea. I did a search on custom motorcycle seats and this came image caught my eye it incorporates my conchos (I purchased) with the rivet idea Hamppea suggested. I figure if I attached the Chonco far

enough back on banana seat it wouldn’t get in way of pedaling. I didn’t have any wide leather to put through concho and thought it would be bulky on side of seat anyway, so I found some wide black ribbon from a box I got ring in from wife for Christmas.

Ok, I’m just getting started, want to add some rivets to the mix , so I look up glue on studs on Amazon. There wasn’t a lot, all the choices are clothing related. Like studs to put on coats etc for goth look. I settle on these pyramid looking gold studs I figure they’re flat enough they should work onthe sides of the seat.

Then today I started process of attaching to seat. First I took loops of blue masking tape, cut into small strips, looped, stuck to back of each rivet and started positioning on seat.

once I got laid out to my liking, I removed each stud and attached monkey back dbl backed tape to each one, cut to size and peeled backing off with razor blade. I am not a patient person and this was a very slow and tedious process. But I liked it, so had to be done. Once I got seat done I decided to do edge of sissy pad.

I’m fighting with myself, cuz I’m ready to be done with this, now more patience!

Another thing off my checklist, added some color ( brass) to mirrors. Used brass strip left over from mirrors , cut and attached to edges, had like 3” left.

Still dark out so can’t really see full effect. I’m taking off on 1 1/2 drive ( each way) to see an old collector friend to do some trading, hope to get something cool to share later today.
