Me and my wife were driving to walmart this morning when I saw this guy, i stopped and asked if I could take a pic.

He said it was an old Italian scooter with the custom body made by his friend out of aluminum. He said the body weighs about 30 lbs.
I thought it looked cool and I figured I would share.

The guy that built that is on one of the metelshaping sites.. It is truly a work of art and he has made several like it. I'll see if I can find a link but I think you might have to be a member to view the thread. It is a modern scooter underneath.

Ok, I was wrong, that one is NOT the one that the guy I was thinking of built but it is very similar. He is actually in Sweden but does come to the US and may have had something to do with that build, maybe just the inspiration part. Edit, he took his inspiration from the Deco Pod.
Here's the thread, let me know if you can't see it. http://allmetalshaping.com/showthread.php?t=9337&highlight=scooter

He mentions the Decopod built by Andy Grubb in his first post, maybe that's the builder of the one you saw..Check out this link, a few vehicles down you'll see something familiar.
