Re: Craigslist nightmares and dreams... funny stories

His research (that he "done") indicated that this retailed for $10,000, and yet it still came with bottom of the line China made plastic components.

But the shed won't fit in my suitcase. :p
I'm actually headed over to Terre Haute with one of our salesmen.

You know when I first saw that I just instantly saw what it COULD be. Stay with me here, chop those top bars off and level them parallel to and above the decks and brace them to the rear edge of the decks, space the decks apart a little more, put a seat on the top bars, and put a harness for a large dog (like a German Shepard) under the seat between the decks. Almost like you're riding the dog but your weight is supported by the frame. Dog powered scooter for kids. Dog gets walked, kids have fun, and you get more time to work on bikes.

Yes I'm nuts.

The Question has been answered. Who dumps $1200 in parts into a Walmart Mongoose?

This guy

Ridiculous, but he suffers from the same problem as many do here, start spending until you've spent more on a crappy bike than you could have bought a nice new bike for.

Yeah but as far as selling it goes if he were to spend another $50-$100 on a used name brand frame he'd have a kick but bike and it would pay for itself in value. Everything but the frame looks like good stuff.

It says at the top the price is $1. Worth it IMO.
