So I bought more junk...

With the BB10 muscle bike in progress I have seemed to acquire a bunch of spare parts. I had ordered a set of ...... wheels and changed directions on the look before I could use them so they were just sitting. That was not going to do for me so the search began for a crusty frame to throw some parts at and make a cool cruiser I could take to the brewery hence the name Brew-iser.

I had been eyeballing this bike at an antique shop for about a year and watched the price drop from $60 originally to the final price of $30 when I bought it. Top dollar for the condition but the look was what I had pictured in my mind. Into the Focus it went!

Crappy wheels and tires, chipped paint, rusty chain...PERFECT!

I don't even know what kind of bike it is as there is so much paint on it that I can't find any numbers but I don't care. Time to dig in!

So, I mounted my wheel and tire combo, threw on some bars after I switched over the original grips, swapped out to a single sprocket while keeping the rusty crank, repacked the crank bearings, fixed the chainguard mounts, added some vintage pedals, and bolted on a black saddle.
BOOM! Crusty, rusty, and full of attitude!!!!

There you have it! I am really happy with how this think turned out for the amount of time I put into it. This will stay as it is and I will likely ad some vintage car trim and maybe some old white painted logos or name on the chainguard. Let me know what you all think!
Thanks!

That is awesome. exactly what I'm going for with my new project for this baby: IMG_0025 by James Beresford, on Flickr

Was thinking I'd go with traditional beach bars but I think I like yours better. Your wheel/tire color combo with that old blue paint works perfectly too. (I'd like some bigger tires but I haven't figured out how I'll fit the rear yet and mine is almost rubbing now) What is your preferred source for wheels, bars, etc.?

Sweet build, especially for a one-day turnaround!

We had the same kind of day Topnotch, throwing old spares at a mysterious crusty canti frame.
You're already Rollin in style for 30 clams !
-THAT IS COOL!

Cool ride brotha! My front tire actually rubs on both sides of the fork but has now pretty well clearenced itself lol. I have white rubber shavings all over but it's cool by me.
I have a set of beach bars that would be equally as cool on this bike so you really can't go wrong.
I bought my wheels from the store section of this forum. Very good wheels for the money!
