The Godpigeon has been around for several years now, in different guises:
OG (Original Godpigeon):
Coastie Godpigeon:
Commuter Godpigeon:

Finally, she was parted out and that old frame languished in the garage...

..until today.

This isn't going to be the Godpigeon anymore. All that's left is the frame, and it's even missing the seatstays.

Missing seatstays???? :39: This should be fun!

I wonder what this will turn out to be?
Those frames are the typical vintage bikes we have here in Athens.Thinking to invest in one,or 2. Now that I have seen yours.I will.

Yeah, the seatstays on those frames are bolted/riveted in place. While I still have the piece, I plan to replace it with an old, forged 27" Ashtabula fork - make it a wishbone-style rear end.

This is gonna be funky.

It took heat and a bit of percussive persuasion to remove the old seatpost (which was made into scrap in the process)

Started modifying a '70s 27" Schwinn fork for its new role as wishbone seatstay.

It should compliment the '61 26" version that I'm using up front:

So you get the idea:

That's gonna give it a more agressive stance in my opinion. :113:

I was shooting for that - the forks sort of mimic the seatstay shapes that I've been seeing on recent carbon roadbike frames. Even though it will sport full fenders when completed, I want it to have a speedy, streamlined look.
