Yes, I love it, and no trace of Haribu in sight. It is excellent that something that many people would chuck in the skip has become a thing of beauty :)
 
I went on another ride to look for a more suitable background for the photos. My usual spots are nice, but I wanted something to go with the theme.
Luckily the next village has some cranes so I went there:

I think the second or the 3rd photo should be the voting pic... Not sure, the last two show more detail from the rear end... The one pic with the crane before the last two should have been 3/4 rear view and not a side view.
 
As the good Dr T stated, this bike is a beast! Great look, you really nailed it with the bare metal, that headlight, the tires, bars; it all works!

The first thing I look for are things that distract from the overall look. To me, for the photos, I would remove the wheel reflectors. They just stand out too much and don't fit the vibe. I also like a close in shot, so details on the bike can be picked out, with some good ambiance in the back ground.

I like this tank shot, if the bike were forward about 2-3 ft so the whole bike fits in the tank area. Really shows off your work.

The dark bricks are cool in this photo too, but to me the crane , etc distracts from the bike. If you shot a close-up here to show off the bike more, it's a cool setting!

All valid points, Oddjob. To remove the reflectors I will have to break them off, or so it looks on the first glance. But I can live with that, so I probably will.
You are right about the background distracting from the bike. This is why that usual spot with the "video surveillance" sign is my usual photoshoot place - because the beige wall is a perfect background and makes all the details easily seen. I found another spot which might be suitable, a gravel road.
I had some fun with the bike and tried some things. I will post photos a bit later to show you, guys, I am using my pc right now.
 
So I was wondering how it will be simplified. So I removed the front gearing and moved the nexus shifter on the grip area.
Flipped the stem for more comfort and tried it:

Surprisingly I like the look with the derailers better so they will be back. Not to mention that I found the bike terribly underperforming without the underdrive - I used the bigger chain ring.
 
And a few pics from today. There is a small decline outside and the bike fell so the rack is a bit crooked, but I massaged it back in shape later.

So I think I might keep the nexus shifter on the bars... And then use the mounts for the derailer shifter and the other one for this Tacho:

I won't connect it, though, I think the fork legs will prevent me from installing the worm part to the hub.
I used a coupon to order a 22 mm stem so I paid 6 Euro instead of 11. I will switch to moto bars so that the grips are a little closer to me. Plus the crossbar is a good fit for the look.
 
Your bike is very photogenic. I'm sure you will be able to pick out a shot you will be happy with. It's great to see a build off bike be ridden this much!

It's kind of non-traditional for Finished photos, but I really like this one of yours. I did a little cropping, but the stance and all the cool custom features you created show off well here....

I was thinking of that angle only a little more from the side. And horizontal. I usually shoot pictures in wide-screen but I might go with 4:3 aspect ratio on that one. Wide-screen works great for stretched bikes and choppers though...
So my stem arrived. The original Felt stem plus the moto bars were on my beloved carcass bike,(which turned out to be an awesome ride, being fairly light compared to the Felt bikes, and with that 7sp 29" wheel):

So I can use my new stem to mount the exact same bars only in chrome, which ironically are the Haribo original bars.
So I can use the Felt stem and the bare handlebars on this build.

Lost the ability to copy and paste quotes as well. Used to be able to hit reply, and then copy the whole business and paste it in another thread, Highlights or wherever. It used to grab the user name along with the quote, maintaining format, and now you just get the text
 
Yes, that's a format change. If it can be corrected or not remains to be seen. Stay tuned
 
I love this build and all I can relate to riding around hunting for cool photo backdrops. The problem with having large scale backgrounds is the bike is minimized. You don't want that for the voting pic. Those are fine for supporting photos.
For voting, you also don't want a tall photo that people have to scroll down a few spins of the mouse wheel before they actually see the bike.
Also for voting, you want to avoid photo angles that are too much from the front or back of the bike. Anything less than a 30-40 degree angle is just hiding the bike for peoples first impression.

Since the rear brake and the gear cables are taken from the fully, which has a much shorter wheelbase, they are barely long enough with the moto bars. While they still work, when the brake and shifter are moved as close to the center of the bars as possible, it makes for an uneven look, especially with the lonegr front brake cable. So while I was in the city yesterday I went into a bike shop I was passing by. I asked for a gearing cable and brake cable + the housings.
Right before I paid I noticed that the gearing cable had the small nipple for road bikes and the guy then found the correct one. So today I had a look to make sure everything is long enough, which it is, plenty actually so I will have to shorten them some. But I noticed that he used regular wire cutters and the housing ends were squished. So I just spent a minute recutting those ends.
Now having the cables I will go for a ride and see where to trim the bars.

P.S. I just discovered that the moron gave me two brake housings. You can't imagine how pissed I am right now. Last time I walk in a bike shop, that's for sure.

Chiming in. The next morning, armed to the teeth with hope for humanity and believing in the good in Man I made myself on the way to the bike shop in my village. And I asked for two meters of gear cable housing, I received it, properly cut, in no time, and for a very reasonable price. Thanks.
So I reinstalled the front derailer, reran the rear brake cable and the Nexus gears cable.
I use a cassette joint from an older Nexus 7, which features an allen bolt for fixing the cable, which makes the installation very easy. I have the same in my electric Felt.

Then I was able to move the brake levers and the shifter further apart. I trimmed 1 cm on each side of the bars.

I put some silver nail polish on the thumb actuator.

The whole headlight carrier assembly and parts origin:

To attach to the fork leg I had to choose between the flat stem and the chrome stem - the flat stem matches the frame and the fenders. The chrome stem matches the fork and the headlight. I am still not quite sure which one to choose for a final.
Anyway, then comes the flat black stem adapter which holds the clamps for the headlight and the clamp for the fender (which clamp is from a Tacho). Those are mirror clamps for a moped. The headlight is bolted to a piece of a holder for a rear rack reflector. Which is bolted to the mirror clamps. For washers I used those pieces from the outside of a seat clamp:

There is a small plastic ring that imitates a shaft so the cap can be bolted to the stem adapter so that the spiky end is not a danger.
The flat black stem adapter and the silver acorn nuts are meant to match the flat black adjustable stem I used for the rack attachment:

And I also reworked the rear fender a bit.

Trimmed the front piece and flipped the bolts to use my signature v-brake nuts.

So it shifts, it brakes, if tomorrow doesn't rain I will take it out for a ride and photos.
I almost forgot. I replaced the non functioning suspension seat post with this nice aluminum seat post, which compliments the rack contraption well, I think.

Then I found the valve cap from my Torch rear wheel (unfortunately it came with only one such valve cap) which I promptly bolted to the seat post bolt. "The machines rose from the ashes of the nuclear fire..."
