This is one of my current projects
It’s an AMF built Roadmaster Voyager I’d say form the 70’s
This started life as a cantilever frame lightweight 26x1 3/8 coaster brake
Bought it at a thrift store for $14.99 last winter
When I saw it I had the inspiration to build a fixie
Not the normal road bike conversion
But a cantilever conversion
So I dug through the junk(treasure) pile and found some ten speed rims
Removed the freewheel added a screw on track cog from a exerciser bike
with a bottom bracket lockring to hold the track cog tight
Tightened really well, respaced the hub for chain line
and used pedals from the exerciser bike
I did add a front brake, just because I’m a newbie at this
Here is some picts

I can say I thought this fixie thing was just a fad
But gotta tell you after just 4 short rides
I think might be hooked
I’m not using that front brake(except for emergencies)
You really get in touch with what you are doing

You gotta think :D
Whoa, slow down for that stop sign
Not too fast down hill, I can’t coast
Hey my feet are attached to the pedals

I do need to change the gearing a little
Currently set up as 46-14 nice and fast
But 36 or 40 should be better
I may lace up some high flange hubs and use a flip-flop rear hub
With a 14 track cog on one side
And a 16 bmx freewheel on the other side(for if I get tired)
We’ll see got all summer

p.s. if this should be in "other builds" go ahead and move it

Looking good PonytailMike! 8) Should be fine right here in the build section-it's a cantalever frame!

Looks good. Does the lock ring come from a british BB(Raliegh)? I have a might have to try that for fun.

my lockring is off a 90's raleigh ten speed
the threaded cog is off a schwinn xr8 exerciser
just junk parts laying around

i think i've found my high flange track hub
they are on an old 70's raleigh ten speed
i'll need to relace the brampton hubs to some 26x1 3/8 rims
then paint the frame
unsure of color still thinking
i will take suggestions
we'll keep you posted

p.s. since both the cog and lockring are threaded the same direction
their is the risk of them unthreading durring braking/slowing down
just an fyi
