I’m really uncertain which will get done first. This gender swap hot rod or the X53. Regardless, both are going to get some love. This one was picked up knowing .... well i wasn’t going to be riding a women’s bike. And quite honestly, it was the first time that I have hacked into a bicycle. Not much different than chopping a motorcycle, just thinner metal. 😀 Tonight I took the bike down and surprisingly, unlike the X52, everything unbolted. Had to cut the two small chain guard screws. Whew……. I was hoping the bars would work parallel, but tank did t want to cooperate. I took the orange tube off an old over sized English frame that I had racked my nads on several times When it was road worthy. I kept it just for some simple revenge. I Notice the orange bar isn’t on top.

I am going to mess around with similar look as the x53, not really caring how practical it is. I tried to explain that concept to my wife, she was befuddled…anyways, I’m sure you all get it.
im looking forward to chopping some more stuff up. Rock on.

This one is going much smoother Than the x53. I am surprised how comfortable it is, once I start pedaling it up hill, things may change. Added the old Campagnolo derailleu. Not sure on cranks yet. The stem came from mid 70s Schwinn road bike. The rear break leaver is a modified ten speed brake unit. I put it in the press and got out some of the curve. Araya rims for the roll.

Brake bridge added and welded in. Grabbed some old Bmx stuff to pull braking duties. Rides great And stops much better with brakes.

I have logged about 15 miles on this one already. I am quite surprised how comfy these old steel pans are. This bike is smooooooth. almost ready to paint.
