I think those bars are 7/8 at the clamp. But, shims are cheap and easy to install.
 
The bars are 7/8" at the center, so you'd need a 7/8-to-1" shim in order to fit the oem stem on the Cranbrook, or you could swap out the Cranbrook's stem to a bmx-type quill. Probably simplest/cheapest thing to do would be to find a similar cruiser handlebar with a 1" diameter at the center.
