This morning. We’re going to have an early winter.

For the first time this season it’s been below freezing for over a day, it’s now been 48 hours below 32 F, right now 19 F. Six to 8 inches of snow here, with ice driving about as bad as it gets. You put on the brakes and you accelerate, ha, ha. It’s so slippery in places that the anti lock sensors don’t work and all 4 wheels lock as there is no differential feedback. Locations on Lake Michigan have no snow and on Lake Superior an inch. It’s scary to drive as stoping is not an option and at 40 mph my 4 wheel drive truck is wiggling. Our lake is staring to ice up.

Yup. We got there last night

Looks peaceful and serene, but the wind is howling and the snow was mixed with rain, that stuff is like cement

Ouch, watch your driving. That’s pretty bad stuff to drive in. We came back from American Thanksgiving last night through an ice road blizzard. Everyone else had the same travel plans so it was a train of slow moving cars with poor visibility. Freeze up is here this morning, no more canoe travel. It’s a week late for freeze up. It’s usually frozen by November 15th, first day of deer season. It’s still snowing.

Not laughing at you, laughing with you. Almost completely dark by the time I get the kids home from school.
"Have a little snack and then it's time for bed."
"But Dad! It's only 4 o'clock!"
