Just bought a Spaceliner to build out a Rat Rod, I am apparently clueless. My Tries, and wheels don’t fit.

Have you some photos of the bike and your wheels and tires?

First off, do you mean the wheels and tires are too big for the frame, pr too small?

I think the rims are, I know the tires are.

Did you get wheels with it that fit? Or just the frame?

It looks like a 26" frame. And it looks like those rims are 40-50mm wide, which will fit but not with those 3" tires. 26 x 2.125 tires will fit those rims. I've seen plenty like that on those Murray frames.

Measure the rim width and the frame width where the tires would touch and remember you need at least 1/4" extra on either side of the tire.

Make a build thread here on the bike and you'll probably get all the help you'll need getting it going.

Unless there's threads to mount gearing on the opposing side that I don't see, it looks to me like you're trying to mount a front wheel on the back of the bike. I see no place for a brake anchor, and that tab washer is for keeping the front wheel attached to the fork in case of a loose nut,

My Flightliner handles a 24x2.125 rear just fine. I bought is as a frame and rat trap fork only.
-I didn't realize that it was made for 24" tires until I tried a 26" tire (fortunately, from another bike I owned).

I do have the rear tire as well. With the hub and shaft being the size it is I would have to spread the rear part of frame
