Help with bike ID

I grew up in Michigan in the early 70s and my folks bought me a bike I have identified as an orange Ross Barracuda Beast
See here...

I recall the bike clearly but always thought it was a Futuramic- that is what I called it anyway
Does this make sense to anyone?
Is it possible that my "Futuramic" was a rebranded Ross?

All I can find on the Futuramic brand is that it was a W.German imported bike. They did have muscle bikes. If you can remember it having cottered cranks that would pretty much confirm it as imported.
