I am in no way affiliated with this event...but, I'll be attending. The word on the street (aka thecabe) is that this may be the last Iron Ranch. It is the biggest vintage bicycle swap meet that I know about in the NW, which probably makes it a tenth the size of anything east of the Mississippi, but its the best we got!

I only got pics through maybe the first half of my walk through. The prices seemed more reasonable this year and my list of 'might buys' was getting long enough to cause brain overflow, and the accompanying panic. Here are some pics...but, I really missed the most interesting subjects, as I made the mistake of talking to people . I really regret not getting a pic of the Air Flex that was there, as it was my fave.

I should have go some better pics of the bike in the back of this pic...it had a lot of cool details...

Out of the pic there is a shock-eaze fork as well...a real nice one. This is where I thought I was going to spend all of my limited funds...but, I got hooked elsewhere instead. Got this guys card though, I'll probably get the grey CWC, the huffman, Elgin ?zepplin?, and the shock-eaze if he still has them...

These are some of the stuff that the host was liquidating...there was a lot of stuff I wanted between the pallets outside and the tables inside...but, my attention got drawn elsewhere...

Back at the pallets is when I started my meltdown...there was soooooo much stuff I wanted to get, and so little money get it with :tmi:. Compared to last year, when I had more cash...and ended up buying nothing because the prices were so high.

Definitely a great show for the area...I hope it returns next year...fingers crossed...

What I did get...all from one seller , except one item. Cool dude, he repairs frames...and had some cool ones.

Murray built Elgin...a '41 I believe...no repairs on this frame...

He has it marked as '60-'64...I haven't looked at the SN, but...sounds about right. There are a couple repairs, not done by the guy I got it from...they will need some smoothing out but look stout. The fork that is on it came with it. It is a homemade jobber...and the more I look at it, the more I'm thinking its not even usable as a fork...very thin wall tubing, lots of undercut on one of the dropout welds. But...there was another seller that had a NOS (supposedly) cycle truck fork...which I snagged!

Colson looptail, one repair (intermediate bar to downtube), and some brass filler work...he said built August of '40, I don't know if you can date Colson's that precisely...

Last...and least ... my Wife picked up this tricycle from him for her garden ...

I spent probably 30mins negotiating for these frames...partially because there was one I didn't get (ran out of $$$), and I couldn't decide what combo I wanted. The other frame was a Mead Ranger (badge was gone, but mounting holes and badge outline indicate it was) '33 B10E frame. It had most of its paint...he had straightened it and brazed in some of the minor pitting. Very cool frame (first balloon tire bike!), but...I finally found a nearly thumb sized dent on the downtube that he was shocked to find he had missed. That was enough for me to drop it and go for the other three.
