Someone had to enter the second Spaceliner. Might as well be me.

This is one of the first rat bikes I ever bought. Even so, I never did much with it other than try to get the green paint off of it and remove a extremely stuck seat post. The only thing left are the frame and fork. Pictures at 11.

Here's my actual starting point:

I also plan to pull the crank/sprocket out of this Raleigh exerciser.

I plan to use these deep vee rims as well as this Monark chainguard.

The rims require 12ga spokes. I plan to get the hubs from these rims. Rear will be a Bendix Tandem.

Offered the crank/guard up just to see.

I have a non chrome fork, but it's on a Murray bike right now.. Hard to find...

Ok, I can take a hint. Here is my mockup using some 700c rims. The fork is just so the wheel can fit. I didn't actually try to fit it to the rat trap.

I'm liking this fork, or at least this style fork. The rat trap look big and klunky compared to it. I'll have to see how things go when I get the 26" wheels built.

Cracked open the hubs for a clean and grease. Front looks okay

Coaster, not so much.

I'll see what it looks like after a night in the tank.

I like any springer I can get my hands on. I haven't ruled out using it yet.

Thanks. I always thought that guard fit the shape of the Spaceliner frame. I should be able to get it to mount up without too much trouble.

I'm hoping it will clean up. There is one race I'm worried about. I have other options if it doesn't. Can't order spokes until I know for sure.
