Hi, I have just purchased this wonderful barn find condition J C Higgins Spaceliner Mk1, which I think is a 1958 model.

Welcome to RRB. Cool bike, but it is actually a Flightliner and not a Spaceliner (totally different frames). The year sounds about right though.

Actually it may be closer to a 1960 with that light bezel.
There should be a serial number on the dropout that should date the bike.

Of coarse its a Flightliner, it says it on the chain guard!!

Please see photo of stamp, how do you date it?

The model no., 46600, corresponds to this 1962 Flightliner entry...
