Hey all
Hope everyone is doing well…
This old Montgomery Wards Hawthorne is the bike
I started in RRBO III….

build off III
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=9215

final picts
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=9784

i bought the frame and started this build on July 27
Not enough time during the week to work on her…
So I am limited to mostly the weekend…
The build off ended August 31...
Just 35 days...
I was very happy with how The Juggernaut turned out…

The Urban Assault Hookworms aren’t ideal for off road…
But make her a very fast bike…
She would make a great commuter bike…
Any way in the final picts post I stated something
was missing from the fenders…
And I still do…
I got to looking at an old Hawthorne frame…
Next thing I know I’m laying some tape….

juggernaut132.jpg

With her all taped up it’s ready to paint…

juggernaut133.jpg

Carefully pealed off the tape…
Stepped back…
And said to myself …
“ I think ya done good”…

Still needs some pin striping…
Ahhh….
Looks like that will need to wait till this weekend…

Voted for this bike also, that last paint change really does complete the look for that old frame.

Re: Juggernaut i think i'm done

Well it looks like this build is comming to an end...
At least for now...
Got the last of the pinstriping down...
In the process of laying down the strips,,,
I decided that either,,,
a. my hand is not as steady as i had thought...
or...
b. just need more pratice...
But had to start somewhere...
The rear rack is from a late 60's earily 70's Made In Poland bike...
It looks a lot older though...
A little black paint...
And now for the picts

Re: Juggernaut the build continues

Well… it was a really nice weekend…
A week or so ago… I picked up a new set of tires…
Thought they might look good on the old Juggernaut…
So I’m giving them a test run…

The red tires sure changed the look…
It’s almost amazing what a small change can do…
