Laser 2000

hello , I have this "80s ? Laser 2000 BMX. Does anyone else have one of theses just trying to find out info about them. My first real BMX style tube fork bike . I didn't even own one as a kid in the '70s/'80s, well now I do. I'm going to clean it , ride it and enjoy it. Thanks for any help.

Cool bike. BMX Museum has several that place this around 1983ish. Others on here may be able to provide more info.
I would deff clean that up and ride it. Be super careful around the stickers though cus you prob won’t find a replacement set.
Was the gusset plate added or does it seem original?

Thanks for the info, the gusset looks original ,same welds and patina, Psyched for this one fun to ride. I cleaned up my brother inlaws mid '80s California last year he almost didn't get it back

Nice! Yeah man. Mongoose stickers, you can get. Laser stickers, not so much.
Is that bike shop on the shop sticker still around? If so, the old guy at the shop may be able to help.

it seems like a good bmx, it has a sr stem which is valuable. but, i really only know a lot about muscle bikes.
