new old fork replacement for the Layoff Special

this is my Layoff Special I built last year for the summer BO. I like the bladed Vista fork, but it tracks oddly, so it has to go. I'm going to put the original tubular Husky heavy duty fork back on. I'm going to remove the fender eyelets, and paint it the same color (anthracite).

After I'm done I'm hoping to sell it. I'm trying to thin my herd.

feels good to be getting some energy back and do some projects. Doc said I can't ride yet (Lyme disease), so working on bikes is next best thing.

I remember this bike very well. I loved the clean look and strong lines. The rear wheel is great, is that a 24x3.0 tire on a narrow rim?
If you are painting the fork why not paint the front rim too?
