Picked up another AMF bike. This time all (mostly) original.

Facebook marketplace find. $100 Canadian pesos and was sold. Needs work, tank needs innards, cranks need replaced or bent back to shape and rear wheel needs trued, once I get the spokes unseized. Came with the Troxel saddle, Hunt Wilde grips, a Light Foot white wall and a cheapo rear tire. Not sure what wheel is original? Front one had a broken axle, which I already swapped out.

Overall, seemed like a decent buy? Gonna linseed oil it and keep it as is.

Not sure on the Serial number, but it looks like "L194808" ?

The rear rim is the style AMF used. L on my list shows 1961, but it looks like a later model. The serial number is stamped haphazardly, usually AMF numbers are nice and neat. Maybe there are batteries in the tank with a date code.
Cranks usually can't be straightened and work well. But you can keep the old chainwheel on a new one piece crank.

Yea, that kinda confused me too, looks newer than my '62 beside it but date stamp says older. I noticed the fenders are a bit thinner as well, in comparison to the ones on my '62, despite both being peaked style. Was no battery holder in the tank, either. Can't hurt to at least try and straighten the cranks.
