Please school me on the Trek Earl

Saw one, need one. I just need to know what size. I know the 49 cm is probably too small, I've seen a pic of the 61 cm frame and it looks too big. So with a 34" inseam, what frame size would fit me? I kind of want a dual sport, so thinking about 26x2.125 tires. Will they work with the frame? If not, what size wheel/tire will? Also, if I can only find a bare frame, are there any decent, fairly easy to find forks that will work with it? Any advice is much appreciated.

My Trek Earl is a 54cm (700c wheels) and fits me well. I'm 5'10" with a 30" inseam. So that should give you a starting point.
Stand over height is 31"

I had two, sold one that was too tall for me.Love the ride. IMO the twin tube design is a bit more flexible and sucks up the bumps better. I changed the heavy steel chain ring for a smaller aluminum ring and added an 18t freewheel. Stock gearing was a bit high.. Also put on wider tires for winter riding. Like 32mm. The oem tires failed. A bad batch of Trek's Bontrager H2. The tread delaminated off them. The bike is built for 700c wheels. no way 26" tires would work with the brakes. The twin top tube is a handy place to store a U-lock. i used to ride it to lunch every day but the hills in work town were getting to my legs. I got an older Trek 730 with 3x7 gearing for my lunch runs which has a similar fit and ride. The Earl is not a light bike. many steel components and the twin tube design add weight. but the ride quality really makes up for it.
