So I got this raceline for $100, its nothing special just a quality bike, nice and light the guy I got it from had it from new 2006, even had the receipt as well

He only used it mostly for going to work on so apart from the Hayes brake levers being corroded it's in great condition, had no plans except that it's there for the future then my younger son who is 15 was interested in it soooo... Started stripping it down and making it a bit better, I started stock piling stuff from aliexpress so started using some of that

The blue bar I've had for around 15-17 years and will always be used and swapped on verious bikes and stay in the family

Gusset brand seat clamp looks good, nice platform pedals

Got a new 7speed sram cassette for a good price

Geax 26 x 1.5 slicks are reeeaally cool

Just need to sort the front brake as its stuffed, find a chain, and I have some red gear cable which will have some nice alloy end pieces, stay tuned

Good looking ride.

Are the brake line coverings. Shrink wrap sleeve for electrical connections ? Whatever they are I like the idea.
No they are actually plastic sticks that normally have an end piece that holds balloons
