I just love riding these old things. The original ones that are complete and rare. 1883 Columbia Expert. The original pedals are coming with it, but the guy is doing a little more work to them. The brake arm and spoon are usually missing. I feel blessed. This may be the original tire. The tires for these things now have a wire that's run through the middle to keep them on and tight, but this one is a glue on. I have some of the tape used to put on Robert Dean tires. I may give that a shot. It needs a little work, and I'll probably make sure everything is lubed properly before I do much riding. It's going to be a great summer. Anyone living in the northeast should save June 25th through 29th to make a trip down to New Haven, CT for the 150th anniversary of the first patent for a bicycle. It is a Wheelmen event.
