Hi Everyone!

A good friend of mine from Syracuse Classic Bikes has a family heirloom he wants to restore.

He doesn’t have much build experience, so we’re going to plow through it together

Not a huge complex build.

We’re Just going to get the thing reliable, rideable and shined up a little

As the bike had been in his family a long time, he’s trying to keep it as original as possible

Anyone have any idea if the year and model?

Columbia...50s...with a Wald chainring.

Looks higher end.

These are in the ballpark...that fork is not original to the bike, may have had a springer originally...

The fork is definitely a different color, so, I figured it was different. This confirms my assumption!!!!

Now I think we’re going to go looking for a springer! He’s got the front fender, which I have not seen, Which may be shaped for a springer

Too many projects

I’ve been been covering this thing with a nice vinegar bath about once a week

I got it apart. (The pedals and crank anyways). For as rusty as it started, it came apart pretty easily

Ritch is going to fly solo and do a super scrub
