I bought an early '70s Mercier frame and fork for $10, complete with nothing but a funky old patina (hey, that rhymes with a Tone Loc song.) I had most of the parts I needed on hand, but splurged on a new saddle and rear derailleur. It's gonna be my daily rider for a while.
