Thanks to Fatman noticing this rust Screamer in the Orlando CL, I now have a cool childhood memory headed my way.
It needs a ton of love, but I don't have to worry about messing up a $1000 collector's item. I can do what I want to with this baby.

This rusty bit of childhood memory will be mine soon.

He already broke the seatpost free. We'll see how the stem does, and the pedals, and the ..........
I thinks it's all just surface rust though!!! :p :p

I love the fade paint job on this one.
Yellow rust to orange rust to red rust.

Yes, it arrived at the office this afternoon.
I opened the box and it reaked of PB Blaster where the seller had freed the seatpost and the pedals already.
I felt like Robert Duval smelling Napalm!

MAN IS THIS THING RUSTY!!!!!!!

I know I overpaid for this, but yesterday I sold a $10 bike for $250, so this cost me less than $10 YSD.
I still haven't taken it out of the box yet. Got a few other things I need to do first.
I did pull the butterfly bars out and the way they felt brought back a ton of memories already!!!!
I am still very excited about this even with the rust!!!

awesome! glad you got it already. i hear ya on the overpaying part but i think the childhood memories outweigh it all 8) . sellin a 10 buck bike for 250 sure helps take the sting out hahahha. hopefully the pb blast didnt ruin any patina :wink:

are you putting the mag on the rear only or both wheels? rear only would be similar to the uber rare screamer, with a twist 8)
