Scored this 2005 Alloy Schwinn off fakebook mkt place today for $70. Looks to be barely used as the Typhoon tires do not show any wear. I was stoked when i saw it also had a Shimano CB110 hub.

The frame has really nice welds. I‘m not sure if it is made in China or Taiwan. It had a bent handlebar and I was concerned the frame may have been damaged but it looks ok and rides straight.

I fitted a set of wheels I had with a SA 2 speed kick shift hub, a set of mks pedals, Electra retrorunner tires and handlebar. It weighs a few kgs less than an original steel canti Schwinn and rolls along easily but the ride with the tires pumped to 65 psi is quite hard so I’ll drop the pressures a little.

It already rides really well and i haven’t pulled the crank to service it yet. Most of the late schwinn bikes i have bought as parts bikes look to have just a smear of grease in the bearings.

All the tubes are oversize. 1 1/8” fork OD and seat post too.
