I present to you the Sunday Driver, aka the Holy Schwinn That's Cool, aka the Holy Rollin' Emperor, aka Fully Pastorized, aka Nun Yo Business, aka Jason Preistly, aka History Channel's American Vickers or as I like to call it....The Schwinn Exorcisor.

I built this bike around the license plate and started with a Panther and blacked out the fenders and grips. The headlight was moved up off the fender and works off the same battery and button as the 34 Ford taillight via vintage wiring. Age appropriate bell and noise maker are enough to scare the devil. Lots of little Catholic touches like the charms on the chain and the Saint medals. I also flipped the fork around to drop it a bit and add a little rake. To give it a little flight I added the wingo hubcaps and the big prewar guard, which I found with that spike already in it. Custom leather book strap to hold down the word and its ready for church.

For some reason the forum is only wanting to show my pics in landscape format. I will see if I can get the portrait one turned correctly but I want to be sure I get pics up before the deadline.

Perfect! Awesome patina, beautifully done.

The handful of people who have seen the bike in person believe that it is in "as found" condish which is about as high a compliment as I can get. One guy however, was not all that impressed. He immediately went into Schwinn-hugger mode and told me all the things that are "wrong" with it. This one is for him and his kind.

These two pics represent the full and complete total of my internet research for the project.

:21: "Schwinn-hugger"

Dude, this is one bad but truly Blessed build!
It's gotta be a top contender!
Great attention to details and excellent execution of doodad details!
I love this build!

Thank you, thank you! I was a little worried that the changes and details would be so subtle that they go unnoticed.

On a side note, I have been toying with making a few "I aint no Schwinn-hugger" Tshirts.

So far, this is my top pick. I'm not personally Catholic, but I have so many Catholic friends who would go nuts over it, that I am sending them links to check it out.
