Posted this to the BMX Cruiser thread as well - I think it fits well in both spots.

Just finished this up. '79 Schwinn Spitfire. Started life as a 5 speed, now converted to single speed. Frame and rear hub are the only stock parts. The rest is all BMX goodies from various eras. The dealer sticker from Billy's Boat & Bike Corral cracks me up.

How’s the chain line on your ride? I’m trying to do this exact same thing, but worried the chain line isn’t going to line up good.

I'm a huge fan of those S&M High Husky MX bars myself...
