Schwinn Traveler
made in japan about 1980.
23" frame 27" wheels.

the original crank was bent, one pedal missing, rear der missing. Rather scratched up. The white primer really shows off the scratches in the red paint.
tore it all down for a good cleaning, touch up paint, clear coat, wax.
Kept the original wheels, headset, stem, seat post, bb, brake calipers, red housing.
The Schwinn branded seat and bars are from some post 2000 Schwinn branded mtb.
The red grips are from some gym equipment.
redished and re-did the spacers on the rear wheel to get the chain line good.

running 52x20 gearing. I have a few extra 20t single freewheels. The other gear option was a 40x18, a bit low.

With these heavy wheels, it takes a while to get up to speed but it rolls good once going.
