How do you store your bikes? Mine are beginning to take over the garage. Looking for ideas.

hang them from the rafters using pulleys and ropes. I have an electric hoist to get them into and out of the attic above this. There are over thirty hanging from rafters in the attic.

In the old place, I kept most of them on the porch. There's a few more out frame behind the kayak. In the new place, they're in the basement except for the one I use as an exercise bike.

Lots of bike hooks , used 4x6 across the rafters and the hooks are about 16” apart .

I just picked this up on sale for $50 at (shudder) Harbor Freight. It's a little "short" for the large frames that someone my height rides, but is functional. The propaganda on it says six bikes and with these four, it's rock solid. I probably will not buy another, but will design and build something out of wood that is a bit more pleasing to the eye and tall enough for a road bike with a 64cm frame.

The instructions did not come with a tool list so in case any of y'all pick one up...

14mm Open End, Box or Combo Wrench
14mm Cone Wrench (for the casters, you'll thank me)

Easy Peasy, it took me about 20 minutes to slap it together.

Rat Rod Townies are great for that in-town, suburbia, or city. A bike that looks like poo and runs great is really the definition of a Townie. Living in the Sticks whatever works, especially if you have large Germo guard dogs.
