It's been a loooonngg time since I was last on here, I think it was the first lock down we had here in new zealand, and now we are in our second lockdown at level 4 which is our strictest lockdown, anyway I'm going to try and make an effort to be on here more often, I've cleaned the shed out and tidied up heaps so now I can see the floor AND get to the back of the shed, I have a friend that I'm doing around 4 bikes for,he does the initial build and I do the final button up and adjustments/tweaking, when he came around it had been awhile since I was doing actual work on bikes, I was just stock piling parts I was buying cheap, his wanting me to do finishing touches/wrench work kind of kicked me into getting myself into gear, tidy the shed and start building again, I'm going to stretch a ladies huffy beach cruiser which is currently under cover on my trailer, so in the next coming weeks will be pulling it out and doing a tear down then mockups of different ideas so stay tuned

Stripped down, removed rusty brakes and chain, put on these apes from my "low certification" chopper/lowrider, for a laugh, but I will be putting on my 26" springer forks and working out a rocker and brace so I can dump it lower, may do the fork crown upside down with the spring underneath to slam it, not sure how I will go as this build will be on a whim whatever looks good build, I'm going to try and keep the paint and patina as is but will be blacking out the huffy name, I think I will keep the chain guard and fenders/mudguards for this build

may get the rear done like this, my In the weeds bike which I still have but now has a leather saddle bag, this will be a rough guide,I will be using the straighter traditional chrome springer fork hence why I will be doing a rocker front fork attachment

Decided to not go with the 26inch straight chrome springers and use this rusty lowrider bent fork, I have to find where I put a pair of rocker arms from the rear suspension of an old mtb to use as a bridge from the fork dropout to the end of the fork struts

Very nice front end arrangement, I look forward to seeing that when it is put together.
Thanks, I'm trying to find my pair of rockers that are around 6 to 8 inches long, I have another pair but only around 3 inches long which would work but I think too short as I want it to be kicked out, may have to go with a pair of spanners for rockers but don't think it will suit the build, we will see

I have considered a pair of old cotter pin cranks as rockers, but all mine are heavy steel and I don't have anyone who could machine them down a bit.

Found the rocker arm but realized I used one for a kickstand on my Lockdown bike, would of looked good sanded and rusted

But I have a pair of these that may look good sanded and rusted but not as nice as the green one, I may used the green one as a template and shape the black one to match

I would say they need something taken off, even if it were only to make them less wide. Love the lines of the front end, nonetheless!
Thanks, I think I may use the green rocker as a template as I already like the shape, and once I lower the back and have the extra rear end extensions welded on the chain stays and the bottom of the bent fork should be horizontal

I love the rocker idea and I love the crazy shape this is taking

Pro tip.......... When you add your photos make sure you click on full size image so that we don't have to click on them to make them larger and see them in all their glory 🤟

I mentioned before that when I do my builds I rarely use the mudguard/fenders but will use them for this build
In my previous picture there's a white bag on the ground it is a stack of skateboard decks, some are mini ones so may incorporate one or two into it I wanted to do bagger boxes each side originally but think small crates would be better, or will but an old rusted bike rack on the back and use a deck as the platform and may use one as a panel in between the down tubes if the frame
I like the shape of that stem so will have to do some patina paint matching there, I want to do some red pin striping too, never done it properly before but once I've painted the bits and pieces I need doing it will need to be done and then roughed up a bit then cleared

Just a heads up, nothing done as been busy but will do a mock up with a pair of 27.5 wheels, I think they are 50mm wide rims and got fat off road tyres so see how that looks in the coming week
