Tagging doesn't seem to work well lately.

Hello admins, I've noticed lately that trying to tag members in comments by using the "@XXX yyy" method, just doesn't pull up people you know exist on the forum. Not sure if there is an issue with the member database or the search engine or what. For instance, I can't tag Jake Sensi or Rat Rod among many others.
The same problem exists within the Search window. When I try to search for post by a member, the autofill don't work right.

The @ works if you know the correct spelling of their user name, but the autofill of names doesn't work on tagging or search. It only partially populates the choices to a limited selection or no selection at all.

Is it possible the members were lost during the transition to new ownership/software?

Search works if you type the whole name in... just doesn't auto fill...

I wonder if it is related to how long it's been since logging in...Jake's last login was Oct'21.

But the search only works if you EXACTLY remember the username.
If you are trying to search for posts from Steve (Rat Rod) but type in the name of Ratrod, it returns nothing. You have to remember or guess that there was a space.

Or if you wanted to search on yoothgeye, you have to remember his unusual spelling. That has always been the beauty and function of the autofil, is that it should help lead you to the member you are looking for or want to tag.

I was responding to Matti as he said search didn't work and maybe people got purged.

I was showing that Jake wasn't purged.

Put forth additional possibility that maybe it is time sensitive. So, if Jake posted today ... would his username start auto filling?

Rat Rod hasn't logged in since May'21.

It was some odd setting that a user had to be active within 180 days. Was able to move that setting and it works now.
