I like where this build is heading. I also like the drop outs. Keep posting the progress.

Talented team you have there, skills are reigning supreme! Designer and the builder sharing the vision!

Whatever happened with this build? Any progress? I for one would like to see some updates.

JimK

sorry guys, i totally forgot to keep you updated...
but there was not much progress anyways.

the last work i did a few months ago was on the rear dropouts.
i was almost done with the second one, but screwed up the last opening because of poor drilling.
so that darn thing was getting bigger and bigger.
but that was a good thing in the end, i made a new mask just for the openings and fixed all of them.
they are now bigger and i managed shape them better.

after:

and i bought a few parts for it, that's all:

there's much more to come, but very slowly.

hey guys,

don't mind me digging up this corpse from page 15...
but there's been quite a few changes to this project since i last posted.
so, prepare yourself for a pretty big update on this bike/these bikes.

since all the old pics are dead, it all started with this steaming pile of garbage for 10 eurodollars.

it turned into this:

complete with laserwelded framemods except the supportstruts in the back.
it was a fun project/ride and i had big plans for it, but things took a different direction.
so i finished the frameset, painted it and well, sold it.

part 2: the 2fast4you terminator.

the pricetag on this fake nirve chopper was too good, so i had to pick it up, for 75€.
as i was riding this thing home, i was thinking, man this needs holes in the toptube.
but i couldn't bring myself to push my brother to do it, so i told him, but just kidding.

when i did the iron cross dropouts for the orange crap, i came up with a better idea.
the german reichsadler as dropouts for a non functional springerfork, that didn't make it's way to the orange one.
the chopper had to be really low, so this idea had to be done on it.

the chopper went through various stages and finally eveolved into this:

now it looks like this:

you might ask yourself why?
find out in part 3: hard time.

i picked up a hard time long version for 200€ on sale.
the plan was clear from the start, the old chopper was fine.
but it was a bit short and i've had it with short cranks, so evo 1:

evo 2:

evo 3, mooncaps made a comeback:

evo 4, this is now a hauler:

evo 5, corona safety measures:

evo 6, started a month ago, coronachan is no more, but lots of rust:

this week i started a big overhaul to fix a bunch of problems.
the bottom tube is still not parallel, even after alot of work:

still a long way to go, but i'm getting there.
and this time i'm not going to let you wait for 3+ years, i promise.

yesterday, another 3mm gone, not enough.

preview of the carrier.

the last 10mm are dictated by the fender.

3mm extra in the first fork to get the adlers parallel.

screw it, another 6mm gone.

the arm of the drumbrake giving me trouble.

smaller diameter of the circle (laurel wreath) should do the trick.

this and other details are already done, didn't have time for pics, more to come.
