Shaping up nicely. 12g stand out. Cool hubs and seat pan.

Removing the anodize, wet sand with 600 - 1000 grit and hand polishing with any metal polish goes by quick with tunes playing in the background to match the rims. Any plan to paint the rims with Dupli Color Metalcast?

Thanks!! And those rims look fantastic! Thanks for the polishing tips. Can’t wait to get the hubs nice and shiny. Unfortunately the rims don’t match, one really nice chrome the other just a run of the mill aluminum rim. Hate to scuff up the chrome but going to paint both to help them match up.

A little “seatpost” idea I do like my seat far back.

I am liking the look of the bike. But I do want the front wheel further out front and lower the stance a little. Going to try doing a little conduit bender on the fork. Going to need to practice a little before bending this fork.
Thanks again for looking and all the positive vibes.

I would take a little out of the top tube, bend it out and reweld, with a sleeve inside...........Curt
Not a bad idea.. Going leave the frame stock.. for now anyway
Go easy on the fork drop, it'll drop your bottom bracket height quickly.

I bent my last set of forks in a street storm drain. Did the set before that in my truck hitch.
I sure will. I don’t want the pedals hitting the street.
Thanks guys!!

Big shout out to my friend Christopher @Boonies for the use of cottered crank removal tool.

I got a little to aggressive and bent the first pin

Should be okay I want to use this 10 speed crank anyway. And I didn’t bend the pins for this crank set.

This bike must have super low mileage and spent most of its life indoors. Just clean dry grease inside BB

Thanks again for looking
Having fun with this one

Since the headtube is so short and the fork stem so long, if you bent the fork legs then you could you compensate for height loss by somehow lifting the bottom bearing on the fork, such as by adding a tubular spacer on the bottom of the fork stem. In that way, any welding would happen on the fork rather than the frame.

Just a small update
Big thanks to @GuitarlCarl for hooking me up with a nice chrome rim and cool vintage looking tire. Rim should clean up nice and the 1.75” tire will be perfect for the big little tire combo.
big thanks @GuitarlCarl 🙌🏼🙏🏼

Got the rear hub polished and added a little color. Lots more to come.

Did a test bend with the conduit bender on a extra fork.Truth be told I really like how the test fork cam out think I’m going to use it. Originally wanted to run the apes the correct “Skipton Way” but I do love how this looks!! And will be a blast to ride sitting up 🤣
Working name is now The Grind as that’s what it’s going be to get this done March 1st

I've seen quite a few people using conduit benders on forks as of late, and I would really love to see the process that goes into bending forks like that. Looks really neat!
