yeah, i know i've been slacking....

Kev's dying to see this bike finished...

I think Chainsaw should get an award/consolation prize for his handlebar mod!

thanks Chainsaw, this is one of the most useful "tricks" so far...

started with the stock bars...

cut some ends off another set of junk bars... lengths of conduit for sleeves... and a set of new hunt-wilde grips with a set of pokey end caps...
the "new" bar ends are just shorter than the grips...

i mig welded mine together...

DSC02445.jpg

hand filed the welds, and the grip covers the seam...
it's amazing how much of a difference 10 centimeters makes...

removed the reflective tape someone had put on the bars, and steel wooled them...

Now thems the bar that will be envied by every organised blood drive the Red Cross has! Give Blood!
Very Cool!

I want to thank all you guys for giving me so much credit for piecing together a few pipes to make a handlebar. I'm sure it's been done a million times and I probably stole the idea from somebody along time ago, but man, I love the credit! Thanks

sprayed the silver base coat.... then using a vinyl masking tape, taped off a line...

color coat...

then masked the center with masking tape...

sprayed white, and all masking removed... it's kinda hard to see in the pic, but there is a silver outline left where the blue pinstripe tape was...

DSC02471.jpg

printed out the original graphics (which i also scanned in before paint removal) now just need to make a stencil and paint them back on...

just a shot to see how it will fit on the bike...

Chain guard looks sweet october. Nice!! Troy

thanks, guys...

i was, and still am, kinda "iffy" on the guard...

too late to change it... so it either stays or goes...

the original sticker... i used a hairdryer to carefully peel it off...
it's a little crinkley, but it is old...

back where it belongs...

This is me when I look at your bike...

very nice Chris...The work put into the decal / letter text transfer
if great. You did a great job on the Stencil..

nice work keeping the Rollfast sticker in tact as well..
that's not easy removing them in one piece.

The Chaingaurd looks GREAT..and like you said,
if your not sold on the look of it......just take it off!
I, personally like it a lot...and The amount of work you
did on it doesn't go un-noticed.

Stop teasing and show the whole bike!!

peace,
Kev.
