I'm sorry I didn't read this whole thread before now -- I love LOVE what I call "engineering proofs of concept." You know, Volkswagons with jet motors; dart guns made from Super Soakers; bicycles with car tires/wheels; sidecars made from 2x4's; Lego rocket-cars. (three of these things I've actually made.)

This makes me go "awwww, yeeeeahhhh."
