So I'm shopping for new shoes for my Redneck CX, a Huffy premier. I'd like to go as wide as I can. I know for fact 29 x 2.2 tires won't work. Anyone running 29 x 2.0 or 700 x 50s on one of these? I've currently got a set of 29 x 2.0 Thick Slicks inbound for another bike but was hoping you guys might save me the trouble of a fit check.

The stock tires were 700 x45 so I can't imagine there's not another 5 mm of clearance. 700 x 50 is just a tad more narrow than 29 x 2

29 x 1.75 tires branded as Schwinn are, or were a little smaller than other 1.75. They are a tight fit tall wise on my Kent 700c fixie/single speed frame. It’s a spring slush, mush, mud salt road mixture bike. I think you can see the fit at the top of the fork and at the seat stay brace from these pictures.
