I have recently been appointed as an trustee for an estate

It has 2 vintage 40s to 50s bikes. anyone willing to give me an estimate of their value? A boys Firestone and girls Higgins.

it's difficult to put a value on them. Depending on your area, the value could have a range from low (sub $100) to high ($300-ish). The fork on the Firestone might be bent. It's hard to tell from the angle of the photos. The wheel/fender appears to be close to the down tube. If so, that will affect the value considerably.
 
Both are from the 50s. The Firestone is build by Monark and has the train light and cheese grater rack going for it. I would put guess on value for that one at $200-300 to a collector. So $100-200 on marketplace or even less at a local auction.

The ladies Higgins is a JetFlow. Normally ladies bikes don't have as much value, but the parts on that one are desirable to collectors to use on mens JetFlows. I would value it around $300-400 to a collector for parts. $100-200 on marketplace or even less at a local auction.
