I'm not affiliated with it, but I'll be there. Its a relatively small show, and was skipped last year do to chinavirus...shows and swapmeets need all the support they can get, as those that don't get that support, I'm afraid, will die.

The county it is in is being threatened with a downgrade to 'Extreme Risk Level' ... so, it might not happen. Fingers crossed.

Update today...

Hello~
I wanted to give you an update with the recent announcement of Linn County moving to Extreme level. The event is still on! We've been debating about it for a few days and we've decided to keep it scheduled. We will know next week if we will move down a level by the weekend of the show. We have several tents, so the bikes might be on display outside. Right now the forecast for May 8 looks great!

Better late than never? I was too busy darting around making deals and edutaining the daughters on stuff to take many pics...but, here are some of them...

Lowrider display...Klunker in the back left was very nice, don't think I got another pic of it.

26" DG is a modern retro...20" is for reals.
IMG_20210508_131731963.jpg

Oops...lied, her is another pic of that Klunker.
IMG_20210508_131710038.jpg

Love me some Titan! GJS next to it.
IMG_20210508_131840687.jpg

ELF Doublecross...always on the look out for a 24" that I can afford.
IMG_20210508_131919800.jpg

Sweet Laguna...1980 I think?
IMG_20210508_131519699.jpg

'62 Typhoon...this was my vote for Best in Show. First saw it a few years ago in more of Klunker attire, but this is nice as well.

Early PK signed by the OM himself!

The OM PK next to another retro 26" DG.

Sweet Titan!
IMG_20210508_132042920.jpg

Couple Quadangles, the red one is suspected to be an STR-1...An FMF-'76 I think.
IMG_20210508_131953738.jpg

The FMF again.
IMG_20210508_131927743.jpg

Can't remember what the black one was...just had such an old, old school vibe I had to click on it. Cooks Bros with UniStem. Redline MXII, I believe.
IMG_20210508_132019157.jpg

Redline again.
IMG_20210508_132003276.jpg

Not often that a couple JMCs and a Hutch aren't the stars of a photo...another CBR!
IMG_20210508_131857544.jpg

The CBR.

This is what I SHOULD have voted for Best in Show. I ran across the owner just as I was leaving. It was my 2nd choice, as I was thinking it was a super cool 24" hack that someone put together...sweet. Well, turns out it is a real life OG old school actual hack from BitD! He saw a bunch of bike shaped rusty tubing buried in the weeds in some guys backyard while he was checking out something out...and he asked how much, and the guy said its been there for years...take it! Super cool!

Swap Meet. There was a good amount of quality stuff. A whole trailer full of Whizzer parts as well as three, I think, completes. I was too busy trying to decide what I was going to buy...and the haggling that led to to take many pics. This got a pic as I went down a rabbit hole on non-cantilever cruisers after a pic starnger posted, and this was one of the models I found that were made by most of the manufacturers in ~'55/'56 for some reason. Schwinn Flying Star. It is flanked on both sides by a badge I've never heard of...Blue Ribbon. I almost snagged the lightweight, but the frame was too small for me.
IMG_20210508_150919192.jpg

Look closely...this isn't a 700c next to a matching 20incher. Its a 20 inch road bike next to a 12 INCH matching road bike!
IMG_20210508_132253610.jpg

My modest haul.
IMG_20210509_153406469.jpg

Very nice set of Allstates...very little cracking.

IMG_20210509_153458503.jpg

A fake Motomag fork...because I have a fake Motomag frame that it would be perfect for !

Truck loaded with the bikes we went riding on during the show.

Just checked the website for the voting results...my ability to catch photos of the 'best' was very poor.

Best Original & People’s Choice: 1952 Manark Rocket, Owner, Harvey Hurst
(which shows up in the background of one of my pics)

Best Restored: Yamaha Moto Bike, Owner, Mike James
(which shows up in the background of one, and the seat in the foreground of another of my pics)

Best Custom: Lowrider, Owner, Jessie Leon
(caught this one! but I don't know which it is)

Best BMX: JMC Racing, Owner, Brad Sanders
(caught this; but, I don't know which one for sure...I believe it is in the background of the GT 24" Cruiser pic, as that was in the area of the Quadangles which were also Brad's bikes)

Best 80’s Freestyle BMX: Green Haro, Owner, Benjiman Hulburt
(partially in the foreground of a pic...I believe this is RRB member @benjimanactivate )

Save the date for May 14, 2022!
