Hall of fame? Each years winner should be an automatic. No further voting needed. Just a new room in these forums where the admin posts each years winner and no other posts allowed.

I was talking about bikes not builders. Maybe some builders have won more than once but my thought was for people to pick their top bike from all the build offs. Of the 13 winning bikes which is the one that members think is the best of all time. It would be super hard to pick.

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE!!!!
Here are the unofficial final rankings I believe. Someone please check behind me.

Another good year so many great bikes. We all are 1st was place winners !!!! if you ride your new bike with a big grin your a winner . You can stand back and say ya i built that . Show it off to friends on and off line and Take it to bike shows . We all are partial to are own bikes . We spent countless hours , planning build & spending money . We may feel like we should have placed better then we did but don’t be discouraged. Let’s remember we do it for the love of bikes , being artistic creative and just for fun of it . Come back next year and take another crack at it .
Take pride & ride your new custom bike. Congratulations to everyone & thanks to all those who voted for my bike the Skylark [emoji1303]

Thanks everyone for another enjoyable build-off. The amicable nature of everyone on this forum is second to none! In a world with so much division and hatred, we've proven that even in competition we can all not only get along, but can also encourage each other and lift each other up.

Thank you to everyone that voted for QUOISE and congratulations to everyone that finished RRBBO13! Enjoy your bikes!

That was quite an ordeal, and I'm quite surprised my bike got as many votes as it did.
I had originally wanted to build bike that looked like an old school fat fendered and white walled cruiser with enough gears to make it really rideable. Then as I waited for the build off to begin, all kinds of wild and crazy ratty ideas began filling my head. A wooden pickup bed was planned (part of where the 52 Pickup name came from). Duct tape would be a feature. More old tools were to be bolted on. Stuff that was sure get votes. And make the bike heavier and harder to ride. LOL
Then as the build began, I got back to building the bike I had originally wanted to build. Now the buildoff is over and I have a bike I am proud to ride. And a cool tee shirt to wear when riding it!

Congrats to the winners and everyone who entered and finished their builds!!

This is why I enjoy coming here and learning all I'm able to remember anyways

No idea how difficult this would be or how accessible the info would be but I think it would be cool in honor of lucky build off 13 that maybe we could go back and take past winners or say the top 5 from each of the previous build offs and do a vote for an “All Time Greatest” list or a Top 10 list. Obviously some builders would have multiple bikes in it which is fine. But just to see which bikes member would vote into a RRB Hall of Fame of sorts. Could be a horrible idea but I thought it could be a cool concept

I would love to see that top 10 builders hall of fame would be really cool. And an honour to be named. I'm in for a hall of fame.

So... just for fun I did one. :)

What I did was go back over all the build offs and list the top ten for each. I started with the latest and worked back to build off 1. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the top ten for build off 1, only the top 5.

With the list compiled, I awarded points for each placing… 10 points for 1st down to 1 point for 10th place.

Some members have been in the top ten numerous times so I added their points up and decided that members scoring 10 or more would be inducted into the (unofficial) ‘Rat Rod Bikes Build Off Hall of Fame’.

Here they are...

HoF_01.jpg

Column A is the builder and column B is the total of points scored from their placings over the last 13 build offs.

There now... wasn't that fun

Glen.

PS: That was just the main build offs. It doesn't include the other ones.

Oooo! Close running at the top!

That's pretty cool number crunching and research @Glen !! I'm really surprised I edged out @The Renaissance Man since he now is now the only builder with three First Place wins under his belt. Both @fordsnake and @karfer67 are the only other builders with two First Place wins. I remember @tvc15 had a run of top 3 or top 5 finishes. Great mix of old and new builders in that list.

Well I will certainly take that running with the big boyz and being a boyz world...

And some congrats have to go out to all the winners this year. Not sure if I have done that yet:39::crazy2:
I would have missed all this if KF did not pm me now.
And how many seconds and 3rds have you had kingfish254 to sneak up to the top...

Thanks for the comments regarding the 'Hall of Fame' list, everyone.

@KJV I'll have a look at doing the top 5 only as you suggested... that would certainly change the scores I reckon.

My list is arrived at by points I awarded to each person for the place they got in the voting in all the different Build Offs, giving us the 'Top Builers'. To get a 'Hall of Fame' of 'Top Bikes', we would indeed need to have a poll which would need to include a photo gallery of all the top 5 bikes from each build off... that would take some doing, but certainly do-able I reckon. I'll consider doing it if that's what members want.

Glen.

Actually in all fairness, even though I am proud of the consistency of my consecutive 7 top 7 finishes, the fact that @The Renaissance Man has outright WON a record THREE times really puts him as the Top Builder in the Hall of Fame in my book!!!
