According to the muscle bike gurus in internet land

Having worked in OEM environments for years and years you will find that many will skip I (easily mistaken for a 1) skip N (light over overlapping strikes mistaken for M or W) skip O (mistaken for 0 when a slash is not used) skip S (mistaken for a 5)

These are the most common but everyone is different
