So I saw this on marketplace and thought it was a 26” frame. I had already made the drive when I found out it was a 24” but for the asking price I thought the sprocket was worth it if nothing else, and bought it anyway. It has a spitfire head badge (obviously not one). Does anybody recognize the frame? Is it already a rat Rod Bike? The welds and paint are sus…

It's hard to see much detail in the pics...but, it looks like a 24" Huffman. Could be pre-war, could be just after. A serial number could help.

Good eye! I'll bet it is a 26" bike. Notice how the fenders look too big? And the rear braces are adjusted inward on the axle mount to try to make up the difference. 26" wheels are only 1 inch larger in radius, 2 inches in diameter. Put a 26" front wheel on to see how it looks.

That Huffman should have a serial number that will give the year.
