I'd like to know what the widest rear wheel and tire combo I can put on my Felt cruiser? I was hoping a 2.5 or a 3 is possible. Thanks for any help on this, Dave.

A three inch rim with a Thick Brick or Fatti-O tire will be the max. You will definitely need to use an offset cog on the rear hub with that combo.

Here is a pic of a Felt Chief that RRB member, Jandroart, customised some time ago:

This Felt Chief cost me thousands. I now have 8 Felts. I have owned about 20 of them.

I reliably throw felts 24x3" rims on these. I recently put 24x3inchers on some 3G rims. They look great. No problems.

I am looking forward to the felt fat bikes coming, I am so close to paying a deposit now but don't have the full amount and cant guarantee I can sell the bikes I have if one comes up soon, then there is deciding wether to get the float or the El Nino which I prefer the disk brakes of but its single speed which means I am no further forward with regards to having my single speed electra already?

It will cost you more $$$ but you can always swap out your hub. 3 speed hubs are less than $100. You can relace the wheel and keep cruising. Make sure you buy the right hub so that you don't have to buy new spokes too.
